A Queensland University of Technology (QUT) researcher is examining the role of blogs, Facebook and Twitter as a means of helping people form their own identity. PhD student Theresa Sauter, who has degrees in journalism and sociology, said social networking sites were an easy way for people to express themselves and explore their ideas.
